amandalynferri:

I am going to Chicago next week for a few days.  …

If anyone wants to hang hard (or softly) or has a suggestion of cool things going on please email me - amandalynferri@gmail.com

Ditto! I’m in Chicago from Friday the 18th to Sunday the 20th. If anyone wants to hang out or do something awesome, email me, too: [current year] @ amit gupta dot com

I took a look at Amit’s data from the tumblr survey.
Average # of people YOU FOLLOW: 66 (70% have less)
Average # of people that FOLLOW YOU: 82 (22% have more)
For 69%, this statement is true: # of people YOU FOLLOW > # of people that FOLLOW YOU.
18% follow more than 100 people.
57% follow less than 50 people.
23% have 100 or more followers.
67% have less than 50 followers.

Thanks for doing this, Eric!
Interesting that somewhere around 135 followers there’s an inflextion point and people start following fewer people than follow them back.

Enjoying some afternoon tea with, as David put it, “a French thing.”
Now that Dunkin’ Donuts put up the calorie counts for each doughnut type, I bet the French things will rise in popularity.

Where did you get that mug?

Seriously, that mug rocks.

Something that looked like this would make a HOT retro bluetooth headset.
p.s. The Moto DynaTAC 8000 was the first cellphone. Took 11 years and 100 million dollars to make it happen, and the thing cost $4,000 and gave you 30 minutes of talk time when introduced in 1983. (Source)
